Before students arrive, there are 5 things I try to have ready: β A predictable morning routine (Morning Work Bins are perfect!) β Visual behavior supports (Check out this Behavior ToolKit.) β Independent literacy activities (100 Centers for the SΓlabas Directas, Trabadas & Diptongadas) β Clear classroom procedures (This blog post shows some super simple centers routines that you can set up during that first week back.) β A simple first-week plan (Check out this blog post for a simple 5-Day Plan!) Nothing fancy. Just the things that help the first few days feel calmer. If you're still checking things off your list, these two posts might help:
You do not need a perfect classroom. You just need enough systems in place to make Day 1 feel manageable. One step at a time. Un abrazo fuerte, ~Judy β π― P.S. Keep you eyes peeled for an email this week! You're going to LOVE what I have waiting for you!!! |
