Hello Reader! Wow! I can't believe that September is almost over! The crisp, fall air is definitely here! Along with all the planning and stress that comes with it, I have been taking a second look at ESL and teaching English. It is important to use a bridge into English when we teach, and sometimes it is great to have a time where a read-aloud and vocabulary development can happen on its own! That is why I'd love for you to take a look at this old but gold English resource. I love this resource because having everything in one place is essential when teaching kindergarten. I needed to find all my resources in one spot for this particular set of lessons, and this is it! I don't think I have to say that too much about that. Teaching is simplified when we have what we need at our fingertips. If you, like me, have been told that you need to have an "ESL" time, then this is your ticket to stress-free ESL planning! It's all there in that PDF. The read aloud nursery rhymes are perfect for ESL because of the visuals, the vocabulary cards and vocab development-- and of course, the story retell/sequencing. Also, you can easily project the PDF nursery rhymes as you read them so that the entire class can see the beautifully illustrated lyrics. I always invite the class to the rug and we read together.❤️ If you want to read a bit more about this resource, CLICK HERE FOR THE BLOG POST.
