🌟What actually worked this week

Hello Reader!

Hi,

After the first few weeks of school, I've always noticed the same thing.

The activities I worried about the most usually aren't what matter most.

What matters more is consistency.

Consistent routines. Consistent expectations. Consistent opportunities to read, write, speak, and practice.

This week is a reminder that literacy instruction doesn't have to be an either/or conversation.

Students benefit from explicit phonics instruction and from authentic reading experiences. Both matter.

If you've ever felt caught in the Science of Reading versus authentic Spanish literacy debate, I shared some thoughts about that here:

I'd love to know:

What's one thing that's actually working in your classroom right now, especially when teaching Spanish literacy?

Hit reply and tell me.

Un abrazo fuerte,

~Judy
